April Hand-Cameron has been providing effective, results-oriented psychotherapy for over 15 years. April enjoys facilitating clients’ goals toward greater life quality and improved well-being. Interpersonal counseling can help alleviate distressing symptoms of worry, anger, sadness, loss, or lack of direction. Her style is progressive and client-centered, as she individualizes an integrative therapeutic approach with evidence-based modalities for each client, centered around client goals. April integrates treatment toward developing coping skills and relational strategies involving CBT, ACT, Solution-focused treatment, psychodynamic and existential therapies.
April has worked as a counselor and counseling faculty for many years in a university counseling center and served for several years as the clinical director for a residential campus program. She is not only experienced at working with anxiety, depression, and PTSD, she also enjoys working with client concerns involving relationships, motivation, and identity. She treats everyone from older teens on up, including couples. Counseling is an excellent act of self-care and can benefit anyone who wants support toward progressing to the next place in their life.
